The Importance of Great Customer Service and Human Connection.

Recently my Apple watch died so I decided to take a chance and switch from Apple and go with a Garmin watch instead. I chose the Fenix 5X and wow, I wish I had done it sooner. The watch looks and performs much better than the Apple watch and is more accurate as well. A better choice for athletes by far but, more on that later.

I want to comment on the OUSTANDING customer service that I received from CODY at Garmin support. I had an issue with some of the features on the watch. Some of the information I had read online and in manuals was very confusing between all the 5 models and when I received the watch and started using it, I discovered that I could not play music or use Garmin pay. This was very frustrating for me as I made a decision to purchase the watch based on it having these features.

I contacted CODY through the Garmin Support chat without a problem. He cleared up my confusion about the features on each model however I was now pretty frustrated and disappointed in the watch and my decision to switch from Apple.

We were not getting anywhere on the chat and I was about to end it when CODY offered to call me. He called me on the phone, Tuesday evening, and assured me that Garmin wants me to be happy and not disappointed with my purchase. We discussed some options and came up with a more than fair solution that worked for both of us.

This is refreshing as most of the time I now get a chatbot or just a flat out "I can't help you send the item back" response. This reinforces the importance of great Customer Service and the necessity for human connection.

Thank you again CODY, Garmin now has a new happy customer!

Have a fantastic weekend!

Jeremy
